Southern Joint Replacement Institute now offers robotic-arm assisted total knee, partial knee and total hip replacements. This state of the art robotic technology is transforming the way joint replacement surgery is performed.

Total Knee

The Total Knee application is a replacement option targeted to relieve the pain caused by joint degeneration due to osteoarthritis. Through CT-based 3D modeling of the bone structures, surgeons can use the robotic-arm system to create a personalized surgical plan, identifying the implant size, orientation and alignment based on each patient's specific needs.

Partial Knee

The Partial Knee application is an option designed to treat joint degeneration due to osteoarthritis that has not yet progressed to the entirety of the knee compartments. This application can be used to specifically target only the damaged section of the knee, allowing the surgeon to resurface the diseased portion of the knee, while leaving the healthy elements intact.

Total Hip

The Total Hip application is a treatment option for adults who suffer from degenerative joint disease of the hip. In this instance the robotic arm is used during bone preparation, preparing the hip socket, and in the positioning of the implant in accordance with the pre-determined surgical plan.
